Powerball jackpot goes to $131,000,000 Saturday, April 19th, 2025; One second prize ticket sold

The lottery official announced that the Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, POWERBALL's drawing resulted in a roll-over, producing a $131,000,000 grand prize for the next drawing Saturday. The cash option will be a projected $$58.6 million. The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night, April 16th, 2025 were 20, 24, 42, 43, 49 and Powerball number was 19. Nobody won the Powerball jackpot in the past eight draws since Monday, March 31st, 2025. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in CA, matched all six numbers for a 515,000,000 top prize.
Even though there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. There was a single lucky winner matched the first five numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The one lucky ticket(s) bought in MN, each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
In addition, 9 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 1 additional players not just matched 4+1, and also bought the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Powerball game is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play, which increases the original prizes but not grand prize. The minimum Powerball jackpot is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners may choose one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
