Wednesday's Powerball jackpot increases to $185,000,000; One second prize ticket sold

The grand prize in the Powerball multi-state lottery game has been increased to $185,000,000. The lump-sum cash payout stands at a projected $$92.1 million up for grab. The prize amount was rolled over because no player matched all five white ball numbers plus the Powerball number in Monday's $174,000,000 drawing. The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday night. The winning numbers from Monday night, August 5th, 2024 were 29-42-44-51-54 with Power Ball 12. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 14 draws since Saturday, July 6th, 2024. A single lucky player from OH walked away with 138,000,000 top prize in Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024 drawing.
Even though the jackpot was not awarded Monday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There was only one second prize winning ticket from Monday night's Powerball drawing, matching all 5 white ball numbers but not the Powerball number. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in IA will collect 1 million dollar cash.
In addition, 6 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
