Saturday's Powerball jackpot climbs to $700,000,000; 3 second prize tickets sold

The jackpot in the Powerball multistate lottery game continues increasing and is going to be up to an estimated $700,000,000 for the upcoming drawing on Saturday. The cash value stands at an estimated $$316.3 million. The amount was rolled over because no player matched all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number to win the $643,000,000 grand prize Wednesday night. The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night, August 20th, 2025 were 31-59-62-65-68 and Powerball was 05.
While the grand prize was not hit Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were 3 second prize winning tickets from Wednesday night's drawing, matching all five white ball numbers except the Powerball number. The 1 ticket(s) in TN matched the first 5 white ball numbers with the Power Play for an incredible $2 million cash win! This is part of the Powerball feature that guarantees a certain multiplier on all match 5 white ball winners that also have the Power Play option pushing the second prize to 2 million dollar cash. Two other lucky ticket(s) sold in MI(1) and OK(1), each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers!
