Powerball jackpot jumps to $69,000,000; 2 second prize tickets sold

There has been another carry over in the jackpot for the multistate Powerball game - to $69,000,000. The cash option stands at an estimated $$34.3 million up for grab. The grand prize grew since nobody matched all 5 lotto numbers plus the Powerball number from Wednesday night's $54,000,000 drawing. The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night, August 28th, 2024 were 05, 33, 47, 50, 64 with Power Ball 20.
Although the jackpot was not hit Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were 2 lucky tickets matched all five lotto numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) bought in GA won $1 million cash. The other one second prize winner(s) from WI also purchased Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2 million cash win!
Additional major winners Wednesday night included 7 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 2 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
With 9 different prize tiers, the Wednesday night's drawing created 296,535 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
