Saturday's Powerball jackpot climbs to $468,000,000; 1 player won the second prize

The jackpot in the multi-state Powerball drawing rised to $468,000,000 for the Saturday drawing. The lump-sum cash payout will be a projected $$220.3 million up for grab. None of the tickets sold for Wednesday's $435,000,000 drawing matched five white ball numbers and the Powerball number. The numbers from Wednesday, December 6th, 2023 drawing were 02-12-37-56-65 with Power Ball number 21.
Though there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There was a single second prize winner from Wednesday night's drawing, matching all five white ball numbers but not the Powerball number. The 1 lucky ticket(s) bought in California, each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional major winners Wednesday night included 6 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 4 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash! Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 287 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 68 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, but additionally chose the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! 703 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 205 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
There were 50,230 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. There was a single lucky Florida winner matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Powerball and won $10,000.
