Monday's Powerball jackpot rolls up to $55,000,000; 1 second prize ticket sold

The grand prize in the Powerball multi-state lottery game has been rolled up to $55,000,000. The cash option will be a projected $$25.7 million up for grab. The prize amount was rolled over since no player hit all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number in Saturday's $45,000,000 drawing. The next Powerball game drawing is Monday night. The numbers drawn Saturday night, December 14th, 2024 were 12, 17, 23, 52, 67 and Powerball number was 01.
Though there was no jackpot winner Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was only one second prize winner from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, matching all 5 white ball numbers except the Powerball number. The one second prize winning ticket(s) sold in MA won 1 million dollar cash.
In addition, 9 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 1 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash! Additional prizes won Saturday night included 229 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 91 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, but in addition purchased the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 474 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 177 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
There were 38,098 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. There was a lucky Florida winner matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Powerball and won $10,000. 52 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. 27 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will receive $200 each.
With nine prize tiers, there were a total of 419,312 tickets across U.S. won $0 prizes in the Saturday, December 14th, 2024 drawing.
