The jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball drawing skyrockets to $572,000,000

The grand prize in the multi-state Powerball lottery drawing built to $572,000,000 for the Wednesday drawing. The cash option will be a projected $$286.7 million. No ticket sold for Monday's $543,000,000 drawing hit 5 white ball numbers plus the Powerball number. The numbers from Monday, December 18th, 2023 drawing were 05, 08, 19, 34, 39 and Powerball number was 26. Nobody won the Powerball jackpot in the past 29 draws since Saturday, October 14th, 2023. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in California, matched all six numbers for a 1,730,000,000 top prize.
Though there was no jackpot winner Monday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There were two lucky tickets matched the first 5 numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 2 lucky ticket(s) purchased in North Carolina(1) and New York(1), each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
In addition, 10 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 2 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Other winners Monday night included 410 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 129 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, but in addition bought the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! There were 983 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 320 additional players not only matched 3+1, but additionally bought the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.
