Saturday's Powerball jackpot builds to $88,000,000; One second prize ticket sold

The jackpot in the Powerball multistate lottery game keeps increasing and is going to be up to $88,000,000 for the next drawing on Saturday. The cash option will be a projected $$41 million. The amount was rolled over because no one matched all 6 winning numbers to win the $69,000,000 grand prize Wednesday night. The numbers from Wednesday, December 18th, 2024 drawing were 06, 15, 18, 33, 49 with Power Ball 07.
While there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There was a sole second prize winner from Wednesday night's drawing, matching all 5 numbers except the Powerball number. The one lucky ticket(s) sold in CA, each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
