Powerball jackpot rises to $685,000,000 Wednesday, December 27th, 2023; Five tickets matched the first five numbers

The Powerball lottery jackpot increased because no one matched all 5 lotto numbers and the Powerball number from Monday night's $638,000,000 drawing. The next grand prize rised to $685,000,000 for Wednesday night's drawing. The cash value will be an estimated $$344.7 million. The winning numbers from Monday, December 25th, 2023 drawing were 05-12-20-24-29 and Powerball was 04. Nobody won the Powerball jackpot in the past 32 draws since Saturday, October 14th, 2023. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in California, matched all six numbers for a 1,730,000,000 top prize.
Although there was no grand prize winner Monday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. There were five second prize winners from Monday night's Powerball drawing, matching the first five lotto numbers but not the Powerball number. The 3 second prize winning ticket(s) bought in California(1), New Hampshire(1) and Pennsylvania(1) will collect 1 million dollar cash. The other 2 second prize winner(s) from Colorado(1) and Georgia(1) also purchased Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2,000,000 cash win!
Other prizes won Monday night included 45 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. 16 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash!
There were 91,991 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. 2 tickets sold in Florida matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball. These lucky ticket holders will receive $10,000 cash each. There were 2 lucky Florida players matched 4 lotto numbers plus the Powerball with Power Play and won $40,000. There were 280 lucky Florida players won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. There were 90 lucky Florida winners won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With nine prize tiers, there were a total of 1,046,131 tickets across U.S. won a total of $0 prizes in the Monday, December 25th, 2023 drawing.
Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. To play, select 5 numbers from a set of 69 and choose a Powerball number from 1 to 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Power Play option, which increases the prizes except jackpot. The odds of winning any prizes is about 1 to 32. The chances of matching 6 Powerball numbers are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners may choose one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
