Saturday's Powerball jackpot increases to $443,000,000; 1 second prize ticket sold

Nobody won Wednesday night's Powerball game drawing, worth $412,000,000, bringing the projected jackpot on Saturday to $443,000,000. The lump-sum cash payout will be an estimated $$210.3 million. The numbers from Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 drawing were 16, 26, 29, 38, 50 and Powerball number was 06. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 25 draws since Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a 810,000,000 top prize.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was only one lucky player that correctly matched all 5 white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 1 ticket(s) in New Jersey matched the first five lotto numbers with the Power Play for an incredible $2,000,000 cash win!
Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 10 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 3 additional players not just matched 4+1, but also purchased the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
There were 52,772 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. One ticket sold in Florida matched 4 lotto numbers as well as the Powerball. The lucky ticket holder will collect $10,000 cash. There were 84 lucky Florida winners won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. There were 39 lucky Florida players won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With nine prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing generated 583,686 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball game can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. To play Powerball, pick 5 numbers from a set of 69 and choose a Powerball number from a set of 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play, which increases the original prizes but not grand prize. The minimum Powerball grand prize is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners may choose one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
