A single player in Michigan walked away with $810,000,000 Powerball jackpot in Monday night's drawing

One lucky ticket in Michigan matched all 6 numbers in the Monday, January 1st, 2024 drawing and won the $810,000,000 jackpot. The numbers from Monday night, January 1st, 2024 were 12-21-42-44-49 and Powerball was 01. The holder of the winning ticket will now have to decide to either take the 29-year, 30-installment annuity, or the one time cash lump-sum in the amount of $408.9 million before Uncle Sam's share is extracted. The winning ticket holder is encouraged to sign the ticket, place it in a secure place and get in touch with lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the chance to select the cash value of the jackpot while claimng the prizes. If the winner does not make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
