Powerball jackpot increases to $46,000,000; Two second prize tickets sold

There has been another rollover in the jackpot for the multistate Powerball - to $46,000,000. The cash value will be $$22.8 million up for grab. The jackpot grew since no one matched all five white ball numbers and the Powerball number from Saturday night's $35,000,000 drawing. The winning numbers from Saturday night, January 6th, 2024 were 04-31-34-38-61 and Powerball number was 13.
Even though the grand prize was not awarded Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were two tickets that matched the first five lotto numbers and won the second prize. The two second prize winning ticket(s) bought in Arkansas(1) and California(1) will collect 1 million dollar cash.
In addition, 8 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 2 additional players not just matched 4+1, but also chose the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other prizes won Saturday night included 212 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 72 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! 652 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 219 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
There were 54,145 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. There was a single lucky Florida player matched 4 lotto numbers in addition to the Powerball with Power Play and won $40,000. There were 86 lucky Floridaers won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. There were 26 lucky Florida players won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With 9 ways to win, the Saturday night's drawing produced 544,375 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is an American popular lottery game offered in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a pari-mutuel jackpot game.
