Wednesday's Powerball jackpot builds to $41,000,000; 1 second prize ticket sold

The Powerball jackpot increased because no player hit all 5 white ball numbers and the Powerball number from Monday night's $29,000,000 drawing. The next jackpot rised to $41,000,000 for Wednesday night's drawing. The cash option will be an estimated $$19.4 million up for grab. The winning numbers from Monday, July 8th, 2024 drawing were 20, 22, 31, 33, 45 and Powerball was 01.
While the jackpot was not hit Monday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. There was only one lucky winner correctly matched the first 5 numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in NJ won $1 million cash.
In addition, 4 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 4 additional players not only matched 4+1, but also purchased the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! In addition, 144 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 49 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! There were 293 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 102 additional players not just matched 3+1, but additionally bought the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.

America's favorite Powerball game can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. To play, select 5 numbers from a set of 69 then pick one Powerball number from 1 to 26. Each play costs $2.
