$221,000,000 Powerball jackpot won in NJ

Somebody is celebrating in NJ, and for good reason. A single ticket has won the jackpot from the most recent Powerball lottery drawing. Lottery officials said the winning ticket from Monday night's drawing worth $221,000,000 was purchased in NJ. The identity of the newest millionaire has not been determined, nor has the location of the ticket purchase. The numbers from Monday night, June 10th, 2024 were 03-10-33-58-59 with Power Ball 09. The winner can take a cash option worth $104 million before taxes, or choose to receive 29-year, 30-installment annuity option. The grand prize winner is highly suggested to sign the ticket, put it in a secure place and contact lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the opportunity to choose the cash value of the jackpot while claimng the prizes. If the winner does not make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
Along with the jackpot awarded on Monday, June 10th, 2024, Powerball created a lot more happy winners walked away with large winnings. There were a total of 9 3rd prize lucky winners with or without Power Play option. These included 5 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
Other prizes won Monday night included 195 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 86 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, and also chose the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! The upcoming Powerball lottery drawing, Wednesday night, will feature a jackpot of $20,000,000 with cash option $$9.4 million.
Powerball game can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. To play, pick 5 numbers from a set of 69 then pick 1 Powerball number from 1 to 26. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments. Winners may choose one time lump sum cash payout instead.
