Powerball jackpot goes to $72,000,000; One player won the second prize

The Powerball multi-state lottery jackpot went to $72,000,000 (cash value $$34.7 million) Saturday night when there were no jackpot winning tickets in the $56,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The numbers from Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 drawing were 04, 27, 44, 50, 64 and Powerball number was 07.
Even though the jackpot was not awarded Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. There was a sole second prize winning ticket from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, matching the first 5 white ball numbers except the Powerball number. The one second prize ticket(s) from NY matched all 5 white ball numbers and also purchased Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2,000,000 cash win!
Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 7 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. 4 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash!
There were 35,190 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. There was a lucky Florida winner matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball with Power Play and won $40,000. 60 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will receive $100 each. 19 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will collect $200 each.
With 9 ways to win, there were 371,854 tickets across the nation won a total of $0 prizes in the Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 drawing.
