The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing skyrockets to $378,000,000

The jackpot in the multi-state Powerball drawing moved to $378,000,000 for the Saturday drawing. The lump-sum cash payout will be $$177.5 million up for grab. None of the tickets sold for Wednesday's $353,000,000 drawing matched six numbers. The numbers from Wednesday night, March 12th, 2025 were 11-13-28-51-58 with Power Ball 01.
While the jackpot was not hit Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were 2 second prize winning tickets from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, matching all 5 numbers except the Powerball number. The 2 lucky ticket(s) sold in CO(1) and WV(1), each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 11 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 5 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Also, 228 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 67 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 613 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 182 additional tickets of this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
There were 39,135 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. There was a single lucky Florida winner matched 4 white ball numbers and also the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 84 lucky Florida winners won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. There were 22 lucky Floridaers won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With 9 different prize tiers, the Wednesday night's drawing generated 452,664 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball game is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Power Play, which multiplies the original winnings but not grand prize. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout instead.
