Wednesday's Powerball jackpot builds to $416,000,000; 2 second prize tickets sold

There has been another roll-over in the grand prize for the multistate Powerball game - to $416,000,000. The cash option stands at an estimated $$194.1 million. The jackpot grew because no one hit all 6 winning numbers from Monday night's $398,000,000 drawing. The numbers from Monday, March 17th, 2025 drawing were 11, 18, 23, 38, 60 and Powerball was 09. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 25 draws since Monday, January 20th, 2025. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in OR, matched all six numbers for a 331,000,000 top prize.
Although the jackpot was not awarded Monday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were 2 2nd prize winners from Monday night's drawing, matching the first five white ball numbers but not the Powerball number. The 2 lucky ticket(s) bought in CO(1) and PA(1), each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Also, 15 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 3 additional players not just matched 4+1, but in addition purchased the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other prizes won Monday night included 234 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 62 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! Additional prizes won Monday evening included 717 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Powerball and won $100. 240 additional tickets of this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.
There were 43,237 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. 3 tickets sold in Florida matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball. These lucky ticket holders will receive $10,000 cash each. There was a lucky Floridaer matched 4 lotto numbers in addition to the Powerball with Power Play and won $40,000. 90 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. There were 33 lucky Floridaers won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With 9 different prize tiers, the Monday night's drawing generated 506,235 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. offered in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a shared jackpot game.
