Monday's Powerball jackpot goes to $975,000,000; Four second prize tickets sold

With no winner in the last drawing, the Powerball lottery grand prize will be worth an estimated $975,000,000 (cash value $$471.7 million) the next time the multistate lottery is drawn on Monday. The amount carried over because no player matched all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number to win the $935,000,000 grand prize Saturday night. The numbers from Saturday night, March 30th, 2024 were 12, 13, 33, 50, 52 and Powerball number was 23. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 38 draws since Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. A single lucky winner from Michigan won the 810,000,000 grand prize in Monday, January 1st, 2024 drawing.
Although the grand prize was not awarded Saturday evening, some people still walked away with big money. There were four tickets that correctly matched the first 5 lotto numbers and won the second prize. The 4 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in Illinois(1), Louisiana(1), Michigan(1) and Pennsylvania(1) will collect $1 million cash.
Additional prizes won Saturday night included 55 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 11 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other prizes won Saturday evening included 1254 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 325 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! 3061 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 785 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
There were 201,716 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. 3 tickets sold in Florida matched 4 lotto numbers plus the Powerball. These lucky ticket holders will collect $10,000 cash each. There were 364 lucky Florida players won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. 97 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will receive $200 each.
With nine prize levels, there were 2,340,071 tickets across the nation won $0 prizes in the Saturday, March 30th, 2024 drawing.
Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. To play Powerball, select 5 numbers from a set of 69 and pick 1 Powerball number from 1 to 26. The odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The chances of winning Powerball grand prize are about 1 in 292 million. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated payments in 29 years. Winners can select one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
