Nobody hit the jackpot last night. Wednesday's Powerball jackpot rolls up to $142 million

With no winner in the latest drawing, the Powerball jackpot is going to be worth $142 million (cash option $97.9 million) the next time the multistate lottery is played on Wednesday. The amount carried over because no player matched all six numbers to win the $129 million grand prize Saturday night. The numbers from Saturday, May 1st, 2021 drawing were 35-36-47-61-63 with Power Ball number 03.

Although the grand prize was not awarded Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. 10 3rd prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. There were 5 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!

Also, 293 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 81 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! There were 664 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and also won $100. 219 additional players not only matched 3+1, but in addition bought the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.

With nine different prize tiers, the Saturday night's drawing produced 625,716 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.

America's favorite Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated payments in 29 years. Winners may choose one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
