$478,000,000 Powerball grand prize won in GA

A single lucky winner in GA is a whole lot richer this morning after winning last night's Powerball drawing valued at an estimated $478,000,000, officials with the multistate lottery stated. The winner matched all 6 numbers drawn to claim the grand prize. The numbers from Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024 drawing were 02, 15, 27, 29, 39 with Power Ball number 20. The winner can take a cash option worth $230.5 million before taxes, or decide to receive 29-year, 30-installment annuity option. The grand prize winner is encouraged to sign the ticket, put it in a secure place and contact lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the chance to select the cash value of the jackpot while claimng the prizes. If the winner doesn't make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
Along with the grand prize won on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024, Powerball generated far more happy winners walked away with huge prizes. There were two 2nd prize winning tickets from Wednesday night's drawing, matching all 5 white ball numbers but not the Powerball number. The two lucky ticket(s) bought in PA(1) and TX(1), each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
