There has been another roll-over in the grand prize for the multistate Powerball lottery - to $93,000,000. The cash option will be an estimated $$45.9 million. The jackpot grew since nobody matched all five white ball numbers and the Powerball number from Monday night's $80,000,000 drawing. The winning numbers from Monday, September 2nd, 2024 drawing were 08-42-46-48-53 and Powerball number was 22. No one won the Powerball grand prize in the past 6 draws since Wednesday, August 21st, 2024. A single lucky player from CA walked away with 44,000,000 top prize in Monday, August 19th, 2024 drawing.
Though the jackpot was not hit Monday evening, Powerball had some big winners. 5 3rd prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. These included 4 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000.
Also, 124 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 35 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! There were 344 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and also won $100. 149 additional players not just matched 3+1, and also chose the Power Play option, doulbled the prizes to $200 cash each ticket.
With 9 ways to win, the Monday night's drawing created 262,863 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time.
