Saturday's Powerball jackpot jumps to $112,000,000; 1 second prize ticket sold

The Powerball game jackpot has jumped up to $112,000,000 (cash value $$55.3 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Saturday night. The grand prize amount has been rolled over since no one hit all five lotto numbers plus the Powerball number to take the $93,000,000 jackpot Wednesday night. The numbers from Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 drawing were 07, 10, 21, 33, 59 with Power Ball 20.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There was a sole lucky player that matched all five white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) sold in MI, each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 5 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 2 additional players not only matched 4+1, and also chose the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! In addition, 229 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 77 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 490 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 203 additional tickets at this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.
With nine prize tiers, the Wednesday night's drawing created 349,849 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is an American popular lottery game sold in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a shared jackpot game. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Power Play option, which increases the prizes except grand prize. The minimum Powerball jackpot is 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments. Winners can choose one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
