Powerball jackpot builds to $81,000,000 Wednesday night; One ticket won the second prize

The grand prize for Wednesday Powerball lottery leaped to $81,000,000 (cash option $$37.9 million) after no one matched all six numbers Monday night. The numbers drawn Monday night, September 15th, 2025 were 14, 15, 32, 42, 49 and Powerball was 01.
Though there was no grand prize winner Monday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There was a single lucky player that matched the first 5 numbers and won the second prize. The 1 second prize ticket(s) from FL matched all 5 white ball numbers and also purchased Power Play, which doubled the prize to 2 million dollar cash win!
Other prizes won Monday night included 6 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
There were 24,620 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. There was one lucky Florida winner matched 4 white ball numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. 42 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. 12 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will collect $200 each.
With nine ways to win, the Monday night's drawing produced 299,043 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball lottery uses a 5/69+1/26 matrix to randomly pick winning numbers. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to buy the Power Play option, which increases the prizes except jackpot. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize is 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout instead.
