Powerball jackpot jumps to $223,000,000 Wednesday; One player matched the first five numbers

The MUSL lottery official announced that the Monday, September 23rd, 2024, POWERBALL's drawing resulted in a carry over, creating a $223,000,000 jackpot for the next drawing Wednesday. The cash option will be an estimated $$112.2 million. The winning numbers from Monday, September 23rd, 2024 drawing were 15-21-25-37-45 and Powerball number was 19. The Powerball jackpot has been growing for fifteen draws since Wednesday, August 21st, 2024. A single lucky winner from CA won the 44,000,000 jackpot in Monday, August 19th, 2024 drawing.
Though the jackpot was not awarded Monday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. There was only one lucky player that matched all five numbers and won the 2nd prize. The one lucky ticket(s) sold in PA, each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Monday night included 8 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 5 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other winners Monday evening included 234 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $100. 70 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, but additionally bought the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! 520 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. There was a lucky Floridaer matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Powerball with Power Play and won $40,000. 59 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will receive $100 each. There were 16 lucky Floridaers won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With nine different ways to win, the Monday night's drawing generated 412,593 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
