The Mega Millions lottery grand prize is on the move again. The jackpot for the Friday, December 12th, 2025 drawing leaps to $70,000,000 with the lump-sum cash payout of a projected $$32 million. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, December 9th, 2025 were 19-32-41-49-66 with Mega Ball 06 and Megaplier X. The Mega Millions grand prize has been rolling over for 74 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.A single lucky player from IL won the $344 million top prize in Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 drawing.
Although there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. 4 third prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. Among them, 4 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Other prizes won Tuesday evening included 102 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. 282 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With nine prize tiers, there were a total of 392,594 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, December 9th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. It holds the record biggest jackpot of $656 million in United States lottery history. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players in prize winnings. About 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operation expenses. Around 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the member states. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Mega Millions lottery uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can select one lump sum cash payout option instead.
