There has been another roll-over in the grand prize for the multistate Mega Millions - to $129,000,000. The cash value will be an estimated $$58.6 million. The grand prize grew since nobody matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number from Tuesday night's $110,000,000 drawing. The numbers from Tuesday, February 11th, 2025 drawing were 07-30-39-41-70 with Mega Ball 13 and Megaplier 3.
Although the jackpot was not hit Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were a total of 3 3rd prize lucky winners. Among them, 3 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
In addition, 190 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 537 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With 9 prize levels, there were a total of 932,452 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, February 11th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions can be played in 43 states and D.C. It holds the record biggest jackpot of $656 million in United States lottery history. Around 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prize winnings. About 15% is used to as retailer commissions and lottery operation expenses. Roughly 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. To play Mega Millions, pick 5 numbers from a set of 70 then choose one Mega Ball number from a set of 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the winnings 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The overall chances of winning any prizes are about 1 to 14. The chances of winning Mega Millions grand prize are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners may select one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
