One lucky ticket in matched all 6 numbers in the Tuesday, February 16th, 2021 drawing and won the $96 million jackpot. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, February 16th, 2021 were 01, 36, 44, 54, 66 with Mega Ball 10 and Megaplier 3. The winner will have the choice of 30 annuity payments with annual payment approximately of $3.69 million for the entire prize amount of $96 million, or the one-time cash option of $69.4 million before tax withholding. The jackpot winner is encouraged to sign the ticket, put it in a secure place and get in touch with lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the chance to choose the cash value of the jackpot while claiming the prize. If the winner doesn't make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
In addition to the jackpot awarded on Tuesday, Mega Millions created a lot more happy winners walked away with big money. There was a single second prize winning ticket from Tuesday night's drawing, matching the first 5 lotto numbers except the Mega Ball number.
