Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot will be worth an estimated $22 million (cash value $15.6 million), since nobody matched all six winning numbers in Friday night's drawing. The winning numbers drawn Friday night, February 19th, 2021 were 27, 32, 47, 50, 53 and the Mega Ball was 04, Megaplier was 4.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There were a total of 4 3rd prize lucky winning tickets. These included 4 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Other prizes won Friday night included 220 tickets that matched four white numbers and won $500. There were 620 tickets that correctly matched 3 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine different prize levels, there were 1,027,798 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, February 19th, 2021 drawing.
Mega Millions is played in 43 states and Washington DC. Around 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players through prizes. Approximately 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. Approximately 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. To play Mega Millions, select 5 numbers from 1 to 70 then choose one Mega Ball number from a set of 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can select one time lump-sum cash payout instead.
