Mega Millions jackpot increases to $458,000,000 Friday; Two second prize tickets sold

Friday's Mega Millions lottery grand prize is going to be worth a projected $458,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$212.4 million), because nobody hit all 5 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number in Tuesday night's drawing. The numbers from Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 drawing were 12-39-43-49-55 with Mega Ball 23 and Megaplier X.
Though the jackpot was not hit Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There were two second prize winning tickets from Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing, matching the first five lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The two lucky ticket(s) sold in , each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
