Tuesday's Mega Millions lottery jackpot went to $43 million, since no one hit all six winning numbers drawn Friday night. The cash option for Tuesday will be a projected $29.7 million up for grab. Friday's $30 million is the total payout - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annual installments. The winning numbers from Friday, February 26th, 2021 drawing were 11, 15, 37, 62, 64 and the Mega Ball was 05, Megaplier was 2. The Mega Millions jackpot has been rolling over for 348 draws since Tuesday, October 17th, 2017.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in New York, matched all six numbers for a $104 million top prize.
While there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. A total of 16 lucky players won the third prize. These included 16 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000.
In addition, 232 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. Other prizes won included 685 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $200.
With nine different prize levels, there were 1,124,778 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, February 26th, 2021 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions drawings occur 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. To play Mega Millions, select 5 numbers from a set of 70 and choose one Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times except grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
