Florida Mega Millions News and Payout for Friday, September 12th, 2025 Drawing
The jackpot in the Mega Millions multi-state lottery game has been rolled up to $400,000,000. The cash value will be $$185.8 million. The prize amount was rolled over since nobody hit all six numbers in Friday's $381,000,000 drawing. The next Mega Millions lottery drawing is Tuesday night. The numbers from Friday, September 12th, 2025 drawing were 17, 18, 21, 42, 64 and the Mega Ball was 07, Megaplier was .
Though the grand prize was not hit Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. 6 third prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. These included 6 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Also, 165 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. 572 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With nine different prize tiers, there were a total of 676,068 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, September 12th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions game is played in 43 states and Washington DC. It holds the record largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back for the players through prizes. About 15% is used to as commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. Approximately 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. Mega Millions uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) system from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The overall odds of winning are about 1 to 14. The chances of matching all six Mega Millions numbers are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners can choose one-time lump-sum cash payout instead.
