The lottery official announced that the Friday, January 2nd, 2026, Mega Millions drawing resulted in a carry over, producing an $180,000,000 jackpot for the next drawing Tuesday. The cash value stands at $$81.9 million. The numbers drawn Friday night, January 2nd, 2026 were 06-13-34-43-52 with Mega Ball number 04 and Megaplier X. The Mega Millions jackpot has been rolling over for 81 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.One lucky winner from IL won the $344 million top prize in Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 drawing.
While the grand prize was not hit Friday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There was a single 2nd prize winner from Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, matching the first 5 lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The 1 lucky ticket(s) purchased in , each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
