Friday's Mega Millions lottery jackpot grew to $117 million, since no ticket matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number drawn Tuesday night. The lump-sum cash payout for Friday stands at $83.6 million. Tuesday's $104 million is the total payout - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annuity. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, July 13th, 2021 were 03, 10, 17, 26, 55 and the Mega Ball was 24, Megaplier was 2. Nobody won the Mega Millions jackpot in the past 387 draws since Tuesday, October 17th, 2017.One lucky player from New York won the $104 million top prize in Friday, September 22nd, 2017 drawing.

Even though there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions had some big winners. There were a total of 10 3rd prize lucky winning tickets. Among them, 10 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.

Additional prizes won Tuesday night included 487 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $500. 880 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.

With 9 different prize tiers, there were a total of 1,053,842 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. On average, 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players in prizes. Around 15% goes to retailer commissions and lottery operating costs. Approximately 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the participating lottery states. Mega Millions lottery uses a 5/70+1/25 system to randomly choose winning numbers. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The overall odds of winning are about 1 to 14. The chances of matching all six Mega Millions numbers are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can choose one lump-sum cash payout instead.
