Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $331,000,000; Three tickets won the second prize

Florida Mega Millions News and Payout for Friday, July 26th, 2024 Drawing
The estimated grand prize for Friday night's drawing was $306,000,000. According to Mega Millions, no player matched every number and the grand prize moved to $331,000,000. The cash value stands at $$156.2 million. The winning numbers from Friday night, July 26th, 2024 were 02-14-33-58-65 with Mega Ball number 03 and Megaplier 3. No one won the Mega Millions grand prize in the past 15 draws since Friday, June 7th, 2024.The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $560 million top prize.
Although the jackpot was not awarded Friday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There were three 2nd prize winning tickets from Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, matching all five white ball numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The three lucky ticket(s) purchased in CA,IL,NJ, each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Friday night included 12 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other prizes won Friday night included 339 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. 845 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With 9 prize tiers, there were a total of 1,447,926 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, July 26th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions can be played in 43 states and D.C. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players through prize winnings. Approximately 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operation expenses. About 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
