Huge Mega Millions jackpot up for grabs Tuesday night

The grand prize in the Mega Millions multistate lottery game keeps increasing and is going to be up to an estimated $306,000,000 for the upcoming drawing on Tuesday. The lump-sum cash payout will be an estimated $$140.1 million. The amount was rolled over since no one matched all 6 numbers to win the $284,000,000 jackpot Friday night. The numbers drawn Friday night, May 3rd, 2024 were 06-13-15-53-56 with Mega Ball 11 and Megaplier X2.
Though there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There was a sole lucky winner correctly matched all five numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) purchased in SD, each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Friday evening included 15 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. In addition, 307 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. Other prizes won included 870 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $200.
With 9 prize tiers, there were 1,486,928 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, May 3rd, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. The chances of winning are about 1 to 14. The chances of matching 6 Mega Millions numbers are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize starts at $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners can choose one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
