The jackpot in the Mega Millions multistate lottery game keeps going up and will be up to a projected $421,000,000 for the upcoming drawing on Tuesday. The cash option stands at a projected $$195.9 million up for grab. The amount was rolled over because no one matched all 6 winning numbers to win the $393,000,000 jackpot Friday night. The winning numbers from Friday, May 17th, 2024 drawing were 08, 17, 40, 60, 70 and the Mega Ball was 03, Megaplier was 2.
Even though the jackpot was not hit Friday evening, Mega Millions had some big winners. There was a single lucky player that correctly matched the first 5 lotto numbers and won the second prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) bought in MI won $1,000,000 cash each.
Additional prizes won Friday evening included 16 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Additional prizes won Friday evening included 344 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 959 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $200.
With 9 different prize tiers, there were 1,587,470 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, May 17th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game sold in 44 member states as a shared jackpot game. About 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prize winnings.
