One single Mega Millions winning ticket worth $980,000,000 was purchased in JackpotWinners

A single winner has taken the $980,000,000 jackpot from the most recent drawing of the multistate FL Mega Millions lottery. The only ticket to match all the winning numbers from Friday night's drawing was purchased in JackpotWinners. The numbers drawn Friday night, November 14th, 2025 were 01, 08, 11, 12, 57 and the Mega Ball was 07, Megaplier was . The holder of the winning ticket will now need to decide to either take the 30-installment annuity with yearly payment about $37.69 million before taxes, or the one time cash payment in the amount of $452.2 million before tax withholding. The winning ticket holder is encouraged to sign the ticket, put it in a safe place and get in touch with lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the opportunity to choose the cash value of the jackpot while claiming the prize. If the winner doesn't make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
Besides the jackpot won on Friday, November 14th, 2025, Mega Millions generated many more happy winners walked away with big money. There was a single ticket that matched the first 5 numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in won a quarter million dollar cash each.
Other major winners Friday evening included 48 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 975 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Approximately 15% is used to as commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. About 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the participating states. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. Mega Millions game uses a 5/70+1/25 system from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times except jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners may choose one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
