The jackpot in America's favorite Mega Millions lottery game continues to go up exciting players all across the nation. Since no one correctly matched all five white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number in Tuesday's drawing the grand prize will leap to a projected $800,000,000! The cash option will be a projected $$344.2 million. The winning numbers drawn Friday night, July 24th, 2026 were 02, 05, 42, 44, 60 and the Mega Ball was 01, Megaplier was . Nobody won the Mega Millions grand prize in the past 139 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.One lucky player from IL won the $344 million top prize in Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 drawing.
While the grand prize was not awarded Friday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. A total of 13 lucky players won the 3rd prize. These included 13 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Other prizes won Friday evening included 272 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. 789 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With nine different prize tiers, there were a total of 1,000,514 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, July 24th, 2026 drawing.
Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game offered in 44 participating states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. To play, select 5 numbers from a set of 70 then pick 1 Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The overall chances of winning are about 1 to 14. The chances of matching all six Mega Millions numbers are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can choose one lump sum cash payout option instead.
